Outdoor Menage

Arena Finished

We have a 20 x 60m outdoor menage. The surface is of the highest standard, being specially imported and installed by a specialist German arena company. The surface is now well bedded in and we have held a season of successful competitions on it and has performed impeccably.

The menage is also used for idividual lessons. clinics, club events and kur performances. Use of the Manage is free to all liveries but it is also available for hire by non-residents. For availability please contact Gerda.

Indoor Arena

Indoor Arena 

We have a 20 x 40m indoor arena which can be hired for individual lessons, clinics, and club activities.

The specialist surface consists of a sand and rubber mix which is regularly harrowed and maintained. The arena is lit by three banks of lights which gives very good light to work in even during the darkest winter evenings. There are large mirrors at three strategic points along the walls. There is also a sound system installed for freestyle to music training or just for relaxing riding environment with background music.

Use of the areana is free to all liveries but it is also available for hire by non-residents. For availability please contact Gerda.

Livery

Our policy at Water Farm is for our animals to be happy and healthy, and the atmosphere for our livery owners to be friendly and relaxed but professional.

We have a worming policy and all new horses must be wormed on arrival. Then they will join the programme and be wormed at the appropriate interval. Wormers will be added to the monthly livery bill.

 Livery service includes:

  • Morning feed
  • Maily turnout
  • Daily muck out of beds
  • Evening feed and evening hay/haylage

All horses are required to have 3rd party and public liability insurance and up to date ‘flu & tetanus vaccinations.

All liveries have free use of the indoor and outdoor arenas.  

Additionally all liveries have free use of private farm bridleway in the beautify rolling countryside around the farm.

We provide a comprehensive Full Livery package (standard) comprising of:

Feeding:

  • Haylage
  • Hard feed
  • A general purpose supplement

Special supplements, specific coarse mixes & additional feeds to be supplied by owners or by arrangement with management.

Bedding:
All boxes are matted with special porous mats, www.drainoflex.com draining the wet away leaving the boxes dry, warm and soft at all times

Barley straw
Shavings (by special arrangement)

Services we provide:

  • Mucking out
  • Daily turn-out (weather permitting)
  • Daily Grooming
  • Bring in, wash off legs and pick-out feet
  • Removing droppings from paddock
  • Feeding morning/lunch/evening as appropriate
  • Members of Staff are available to hold your horse for the farrier or routine veterinary treatment
  • The use of the indoor arena
  • The use of the outdoor arena
  • Off road hacking on private land
  • Professional advice always available

We also provide Training Livery comprising of all the above as (standard) plus:  (Price on application.)

Grass LiveryGrass Livery

Grass Livery is available between 1st April and 30th October for horses or ponies to live out on unlimited grass. We are now able to offer a limited number of all year grass liveries with field shelters, please call for further details.

Re-schooling, holiday, sales

Horses and ponies are also taken in for short term holiday livery, re-schooling and preparation for sale. We will be pleased to cater for you and your equine’s individual needs.

Training Livery

We offer full Training Livery, were you and your horse can come and stay with us and train at the same time, we offer on site accommodation call for further details.

Developing freestyle dressage
to music in East Anglia

Part 1 – un-mounted

Part 1 is a group event lasting approximately 2 hours

Kür demonstration – Watch different levels of Kür performed with running commentary

Interval

Workshop (90 Minutes)

  1. Introduction – What is a Kür?
  2. Rules of freestyle to music
  3. Compulsory contents of  Kürs at different levels
  4. Design your floor plan
  5. How to find the right music
  6. Find out how to do your homework in preparation for the second part of the clinic

Part 2  – Individual mounted session

Part 2 sessions are 1 to 1, and can be booked to suit you.

Individual training session

  1. Look at floor plan and timings
  2. Ride your draft  version
  3. Establishing exact timings;
    a) lengths of different sections,
    b) adjustments as necessary  
  4. Cut music to timed sections
  5. Tweaking  your CD: – put it all together
  6. Ride your own Kür in the final version

Production and burning of your music
CD to take away at the end of the clinic.
Take your finished CD home.

Please note: that this is a two part event and the first part is a group
session followed by individual 1 to 1 sessions with Gerda.
